EGDF, the European federation representing the European games industry, announced at Game Dev Rev conference that MGI, the Macedonian Games Industry Association, has become a member of EGDF
The Macedonian game developer association is the 25th member of the Federation. The Federation has been steadily expanding its activities, especially in East and Southeast Europe, now covering 23 European countries. EGDF is focused on helping European game developers to access talent, funding, and a route to the top of the game industry value chain —all challenges Macedonian game developers are also struggling with.
“The membership of the MGI strengthens our voice in Macedonia to defend European game developers. We are more than happy to welcome Macedonian game developers into our network to share best practices, solve the industry’s challenges, and unite ourselves in building a European game industry on European terms. In particular, we must keep the borders of the EU open for the Macedonian game industry business visitors, ensure access of Macedonian developers to EU funding and overcome the challenges Macedonian game developers face with global game industry platforms with their games”, Jari-Pekka Kaleva, the managing director of EGDF, highlights.
