Press release: EGDF, the European federation representing the video games industry in Europe, is delighted to announce that CGDA (Croatian Game Developers Association) has become a member of EGDF.

July 13th, 2022 – The General Assembly of the European Game Developers Federation (EGDF) , formed of its members, national trade associations representing game developer studios in several European countries, has gathered on 2nd of June. During the GA, the membership request of CGDA has been approved. 

Andrej Levenski, one from the president of CGDA and CTO of Gamepires said: “Our main goal is to build a sustainable and inclusive game development industry here in Croatia, and having connections with the rest of the European industry, with their specific experiences and advice, is already proving to be a big help.”.“

Aleksandar Gavrilović, the General Secretary of CGDA and CEO of Gamechuck explained why the association has joined EGDF: “We share the EGDF vision of a strong and resilient European game development industry, and will do our best to foster it to expand and become a motor for employing young artists and engineers and bringing all our creative visions to the global market.”.

Jari-Pekka Kaleva, Managing Director of EGDF said: “Games industry is one of the rare borderless industries. Securing the free movement of talent, capital, data and knowledge across the EU borders is one of the main EGDF priorities. We are pleased to strengthen our cooperation with SGDA to ensure that Switzerland returns to all games industry relevant EU cooperation programs and to tackle any emerging political barriers hindering the collaboration between Swizz and EU game developers.”
