August 2nd, 2022 – During the last General Assembly of the European Game Developers Federation (EGDF) , formed of its members, national trade associations representing game developer studios in several European countries, the membership request of IGP has been approved.
Jakub Wójcik, the IGP Chairman stated: “We are delighted with the formalization of our cooperation with EGDF, which was already on a good pace for some time. Many parts of our work indeed take place on the European level, starting with trade missions, both ones we take abroad, but also guests visiting flourishing Polish industry, and ending with taking close care about EU legislation that could affect game production“
Jari-Pekka Kaleva, Managing Director of EGDF said: “Indie Game Poland Foundation has played a crucial role in enabling the rapid growth of the Polish games industry through hands-on support for the local game developer community. We are honoured to have a new member organisation supporting, in particular, small indie game developer studios, and we are more than happy to make sure that European policymakers hear their voice”
